"A substantial portion of the applications I create are built in MS Access.  For years I have used my version of the commonly available code for automating Outlook emails from Access.  This, however, typically means that the generated email will be saved in the drafts folder and not sent immediately, otherwise the user is greeted with the Outlook security prompt that an application is trying to access their email.

Most clients didn't mind having to manually send the email, once it is generated.  I knew there had to be a way around it using extended MAPI, but was not worth the development time to try to code it myself.

When a client needed to automate sending hundreds of emails, manually clicking send, was not an option.  For several reasons, I did not want to use something that required any kind of additional installation on the client's workstations.

In searching for a solution I came upon vbMAPI.  It was like finding the Holy Grail!  Installation was quick and easy.  Adding vbMAPI to my Access 2000 and 2007 VBA projects was simply a couple of mouse clicks AND required no additional client workstation installation or files.

Within an hour I had integrated and tested it in my application.  The only problems I encountered were due to client's Outlook not properly configured on a couple of machines.  When I contacted Wayne for advice, I received an informed response almost immediately.  In one instance he determined that a particular client error should be handled better and had a new version posted the next day. Can't beat that for service!

In summary, we have simple installation, integration, performance, no external file requirement, service and even low price. One can't beat that combination anywhere!"

"Supporting a number of legacy VB6 and VBA applications, I am no stranger to the challenges of interfacing with newer applications, architectures and security models. However, when a client requested rich e-mail functionality from a widely deployed VB6 application, I was dismayed to discover the full horror of the Outlook Object Model Guard and the complexities of eMAPI. I was almost ready to give up on Outlook e-mail automation when I discovered vbMAPI Outlook Security Evader.

Within minutes, I was able to harness the full power of the Outlook Object Model in my applications. The innovative deployment method meant that I was able to integrate this functionality seamlessly, with no need to distribute additional libraries to clients running previous versions of the software. The tool not only exposes all useful parts of the Outlook Object Model, but makes some tasks (such as the discovery of SMTP e-mail
addresses) much simpler, leading to rapid and professional deployment, and a cost-effective way to extend the life of legacy software.

Product support has been second-to-none, with most of my queries being answered same day and enhancements, where necessary, being released within a week. I have been using the product to its full extent for four months and it just works. If only more programming tools were like this.

I am rarely moved to endorse products - generally I consider that payment should suffice! - but vbMAPI Outlook Security Evader and its excellent development and support team deserve a special mention."

Scott McDaniel (Access MVP):

Recently I had the need to integrate Outlook email functionality in a client's Access 2003 project, and of course one of the big issues was removing the Outlook security warnings.  After reviewing several different solutions I decided on vbMAPI and have been very pleased with my selection.

I've used other Outlook integration utilities before, but vbMAPI was definitely the easiest to implement, and even includes a utility to automatically add all the necessary classes to your existing project.  It's very easy to use, and the help file includes easy to use code samples that make vbMAPI a useful tool right out of the box.  With ease often comes a lack of features, but that certainly is not the case with vbMAPI - I've yet to find anything concerning Outlook integration that vbMAPI can't handle!

Support is first class as well.  I was looking for a way to insure that emails did not land in the Outlook outbox so I dashed off an email to the support link at EverythingAccess.com.  Within an hour I had received a detailed response that showed me exactly how to manage my issue, along with suggestions of alternative methods.  You can't ask for better software support than that!

Phil Taylor says:

I have been programming MS Access apps using VBA for years and my clients expect me to deliver professional applications.

I needed something that would allow me to easily create e-mails with attachments etc, from within MS Access and this is where vbMAPI delivers.  It greatly simplifies the process of creating emails, gets rid of annoying security messages, and not having to install DLLs etc on users machines is a major plus.

I can't recommend this product enough and the quick responses and support I have received couldn't be better.

Thank you for a clever product, and your support. Much appreciated!
