Community & Support
twinBASIC is more than just a compiler and IDE - it's a growing community of developers, enthusiasts, and long-standing members of the classic VB6 and VBA world helping shape the future of the project together.
Whether you're looking for technical help, language discussions, project feedback, or simply want to follow development progress, there are several ways to get involved.

Language Documentation
twinBASIC includes extensive language and platform documentation covering syntax, language features, compatibility guidance, compiler behaviour, project configuration, and many areas of the twinBASIC ecosystem.
The documentation is a great place to start when learning twinBASIC, exploring language capabilities, or looking up specific functionality while developing.
Many common questions can often be answered quickly through the documentation before reaching out to the community.
Discord Community
The twinBASIC Discord server is the heart of the community, with over 1,200 members and growing.
We're proud to have many well-known and long-standing members of the VB6 and VBA community actively involved in the project at many different levels - from casual discussion and testing, through to bug reporting, feature design, package creation, and community support.
The server promotes a professional, friendly, and safe-for-work environment focused on collaboration, knowledge sharing, and community spirit.
There are dedicated channels for:
- General twinBASIC discussion
- Asking general questions
- Bug reporting and diagnostics
- Feature ideas and suggestions
- Package and library sharing
- Showcasing community projects
If you can't find what you're looking for in the documentation, or want to discuss ideas with other developers, the community is always happy to help.
GitHub Issue Tracker
twinBASIC also maintains a public GitHub repository used for formal bug tracking, feature requests, roadmap discussion, and development transparency.
The GitHub issue tracker is the best place for:
- Reporting reproducible bugs
- Submitting feature requests
- Tracking development progress
- Following roadmap discussions
- Reviewing known issues and workarounds
Some ideas discussed within the Discord community eventually become tracked GitHub issues as features evolve and mature.
Social Channels
twinBASIC also maintains social channels for announcements, updates, demonstrations, and community visibility.
Our X account regularly shares project updates, release information, screenshots, and development progress.
We also have a YouTube channel containing demonstrations and walkthrough videos, although some content is currently a little outdated as development has been moving rapidly.
More video content and tutorials are planned as twinBASIC approaches v1.
